Episode 6

Char Aznable
An ace pilot of the Principality of Zeon forces. Now famed as the "Red Comet" for his exploits in the Battle of Loum, he receives a two-rank special promotion to lieutenant commander. On Vice Admiral Dozle's orders, he takes on the mission of halting the Earth Federation Forces' "Operation V." Char is actually Deikun's orphaned son Casval, who has sworn revenge on the Zabi family.


Garma Zabi

The youngest child of the Zabi family, and the fourth son. Seeing his military academy classmate Char as a rival, Garma asks his brother Dozle to assign him to mop up the remaining enemy forces in the Loum area. Thanks to his distinguished service, he is promoted from major to colonel, and joins the Earth Expeditionary Force as commander of the North American Force, Western Sector.


Degwin Sodo Zabi
Sovereign of the Principality of Zeon, and patriarch of the Zabi family. Fearful of Gihren's efforts to continue the Zeon war of independence, he hopes that Kycilia will act to restrain Gihren's reckless ambitions. Degwin appeals to Admiral Revil of the Earth Federation Forces, asking him to cooperate in making peace as quickly as possible.
Gihren Zabi
Supreme commander of the Principality of Zeon. The eldest son of the Zabi family, and the Principality's leader. Heedless of his father Degwin's desire for a quick peace, he seeks to continue the war of independence in order to seize complete control of the Earth Sphere.
Kycilia Zabi
The commander of the Principality of Zeon's Armored Assault Force, with the rank of major general. At the beginning of the war of independence, she captured the lunar cities of Granada and Von Braun. She is the fourth child of the Zabi family, and the eldest daughter. She also controls an intelligence service called the Kycilia Agency, which carries out a secret operation codenamed "Blue Bird" related to Admiral Revil of the Earth Federation Forces.

Gaia
A lieutenant junior grade in the Principality of Zeon forces. In the Battle of Loum, he pilots an MS-06R-1A Zaku II High Mobility Type as the leader of the Black Tri-Stars, and also commands one of the two battalions of the Special Assault Regiment. For his exploits, he is promoted to full lieutenant.
Ortega
An ensign in the Principality of Zeon forces. He pilots an MS-06R-1A Zaku II High Mobility Type as a member of the Black Tri-Stars. In the Battle of Loum, he contributes to the fight with his fearsome tactic of cleaving through the bridge of the enemy flagship with a giant heat hawk. For his exploits, he is promoted to lieutenant junior grade.
Mash
An ensign in the Principality of Zeon forces, and a member of the Black Tri-Stars. In the Battle of Loum, he pilots an MS-06R-1A Zaku II High Mobility Type in the team's black personal colors, carrying the MS anti-ship rifle ASR-78. For his distinguished service, he is promoted to lieutenant junior grade.


Dozle Zabi
The third son of the Zabi family. The commander of the Principality of Zeon's Space Strike Fleet, with the rank of vice admiral. Commanding his space fleet from his flagship Valkyrie, Dozle turns about in the face of Vice Admiral Tianem's Second Fleet in order to strike the main fleet of the Earth Federation Space Force, which is led by Admiral Revil.

Zenna Zabi
Dozle's wife. She has a good understanding of her husband, who dotes on their beloved daughter Mineva. Because she was a military academy classmate of her husband's younger brother Garma, Zenna does what she can to see that Garma's hopes are fulfilled.


Dren
A lieutenant junior grade in the Principality of Zeon forces. Dren joins the crew of the Musai-class light cruiser Falmer, which Dozle gives to Char. On Char's orders, he becomes the ship's acting captain.
